4 Iran animations to be screened at Tehran animation fest

Four Iranian feature length animations are to be screened at the 10th Tehran International Animation Festival.

Three of the animations are to vie at the competition section of the event and one is to be displayed at the non-competition section.

‘In the Path of Rain’ directed by Hamed Katebi, Hamid Nakhaei’s ‘Luggy’, ‘Release from Heaven’ by Ali Nouri Oskui and Mohammad Amin Hamedani’s ‘The Return’ are the four animations to participate at the festival.

The festival will be held in various cinemas and cultural centers in the capital, Tehran, as well as other cities.

Held by the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults, many award-winning animations will participate at the event.

The Tehran Animation Festival is a competitive event which takes place biennially. The main goal is to promote animation and broaden cultural interchange.

TIAF is not specified just for children and young adults, but any kind of artistic animated films, including those for children, young adults and adults section, can be sent to the festival.

The 10th Tehran International Animation Festival will be held on March 5-9, 2017.
